Box Set Three Physics

Physics answers questions about the way in which energy exists and changes. Physics is about asking fundamental questions and trying to answer them by observing and experimenting

Everything on Earth, everything in our solar system, everything in our galaxy, and everything in the Universe moves and interacts, and forces play a big part in that. Physics studies these forces and interactions.

The Activities

Week 1: Through the Air - Flight -
Balloon helicopters, thrust, lift, drag, weight, create a flying machine
Week 2: Crazy Cuica - Sound -
Volume, pitch, vibration, make an instrument
Week 3: Light it Up! - Light -
Lasers included, light as energy, rainbows
Week 4: Mirror Mirror - Reflection -
Experiment with mirrors, symmetry, kaleidoscope
Week 5: Wheelies - Simple Machines -
identify 6 Simple Machines, make your own mini skate board and RIDE!
Week 6: Liquid Force - Hydraulics -
Liquid under pressure, build a hydraulic system, syringes included
Week 7: Slipping and Gripping - Friction -
Ramps, forces, motion, magic beans flip/flop fast and slow
Week 8: Floatinking - Floating / Sinking -
Surface tension, make a sinking thing float, predict which things will float and why
Week 9: Motors! - Electricity -
Electrical energy, circuits, batteries and motors included
Week 10: Shooter - Forces -
Build a mini cannon to fire pom-poms, force is a push or pull
There are 10 boxes, one experience for 10 weeks of the term.
You purchase one set of boxes at a time.
Cost for one set of boxes is $299 ex gst.

What’s inside the box?

In every box you’ll find all the ingredients for your experiment, and an easy to follow ‘Experiment sheet’. It shows the kids (and you) exactly what to do, and helps direct the learning process, so the kids not only have fun, but get to explore and learn cool science stuff.

When the box arrives.

Once you’re box arrives, you’re ready to learn!
For each box, you’ll receive an email link to two supporting videos – one for kids to watch and one for teachers.
Note you don’t have to watch the videos – they available just to help if required. Our experiments are so simple you can just open the box and start learning.
However, every experiment has a supporting video for kids and teachers, so it’s a helpful resource for you if needed.
